Appliances & comfort
Inside the house.
Cooktop — gas, standard operation. Press in and turn the nozzle until the flame appears. Rangehood buttons are under the hood. The oven power switch is on the wall next to the kitchen window — turn this on first.
SMEG oven — turn on from the wall switch next to the kitchen windows. The timer must be set before the oven functions will work. Contact Karly if you need assistance.
Dishwasher — tablet in flip box inside door. Select program, press start, close door.
Fridge/freezer — integrated two-door, no settings adjustment needed. Bar fridge in each bedroom too. Contact us if cooling issues arise.
Coffee machine — in the cupboard opposite the fridge. Pods, sugar and condiments in the pantry. Tea, kettle and cups available in every room. Studio rooms share the kitchenette.
Air conditioning — hallway panel controls the living, dining and kitchen areas. Each bedroom has its own individual panel. Close all windows and doors when running.
Laundry — washer and dryer in the hallway cupboard. Detergent supplied. Turn the wall switch on before starting the dryer.
Nuna cot & high chair — 2 cots in the bunker room, high chair in the kitchen area.
Skylight — in the living area. Remote is on the wall opposite the lounge. Press arrows up/down to open or close.
Water — town and tank water combination with full purification system. Gas hot water via four bottles between the house and commercial space. Contact Karly immediately if hot water is interrupted.
Indoor fireplace — in the living area. Wood is under the bookshelf to the right of the fireplace. More firewood available from the petrol station in Berry. Note: the green bedroom fireplace is not functional.
Fireplace safety — ensure the fire has completely burnt out before going to bed or leaving the property. Never leave unattended. Use the air conditioning for heating rooms.
Benchtops & furniture — chopping boards are in the kitchen cupboards — please use them. Coasters and placemats provided for dining and coffee tables. Leave all furniture in its original position.
Grounds & outdoor areas

BBQ — infrared gas, produces nearly double the heat of a standard BBQ. The gas pizza oven is ignited from the right-hand side and has a rotating base plate. Gas bottle in the cupboard beneath is for the pizza oven only. Wipe down the grill before leaving.
Fire pit — wood and supplies near the fire pit. Check fire restrictions firstNever leave unattendedOut before bedNo flammable chemicals to light
Lawn — no vehicles of any kind on the grass. Roads only.
Groundskeeper — Geoff attends the property mid-week for routine maintenance. He is always respectful of privacy and will not disturb your stay.
Farm animals — fresh eggs from nesting boxes (lift lids from outside the pen). Do not enter the chicken coop. Our cows John & Stan, goats and sheep love a gentle pat at the fence — do not feed them or enter their paddocks. Guided farm tours available — ask Karly.
Wildlife — you may encounter frogs, snakes, wasps or insects. Solar snake repellers are placed throughout the grounds — please do not touch or move them ($600 replacement cost each). Stay aware and supervise children when outside.
Outdoor wellness
Sauna & ice bath.
Contrast therapy — alternating heat and cold — is a popular wellness practice. Many guests enjoy 2–3 rounds of sauna followed by ice bath for a full reset.

Using the sauna
1Turn the temperature dial halfway to maximum.
2Turn the timer dial to 45–60 min in the white section. Heater starts immediately.
3Allow 20–30 min to reach temperature. Sit on a towel, keep door closed. Session: 10–20 min.
4Small ladle of water over stones creates steam. After use, turn to OFF, leave door slightly ajar. Turn off before leaving the property.
Using the ice bath
1Close drain valve. Fill to ¾ full (just below seating level).
2Plug in chiller and press power. Cooling takes 1–3 hours.
3Recommended: 1–3 min. Maximum: 10 min. Exit immediately if dizzy.
Care — no glassware. Water bottles welcome. Shoes outside. Supervise children at all times.
Ember hot tub
1Fill — ensure the drain valve is closed, then fill the tub to the recommended level marked on the inside. Don't overfill.
2Power on — press the power button on the digital control panel on the motor unit. The display will show the current water temperature.
3Set temperature — use the up/down arrows on the panel to set your desired temperature (most guests choose 37–39°C). Allow time to heat — typically 1–2 hours depending on starting temperature.
4Jets & settings — use the panel to activate jets or bubbles. Consult the panel labels for any additional features.
5After use — power off via the panel. Replace the cover to retain heat for the next use.
Hot tub guidelines — no glassware. Max recommended soak: 15–20 min. Shower before entering. Supervise children at all times. Stay hydrated. Exit if you feel dizzy or overheated. Contact Karly if you experience any issues with the unit.
