How We’d Spend A Day In Berry

The Town Just Voted Gold In The NSW Tourism Awards!

And the Gold goes to Berry! It was voted the Top Small Tourism Town in the NSW Top Town Awards for the second year in a row and later this year will represent NSW in Australia’s Top Tourism Town awards. We know why it won, but if you don’t, come visit and find out why this vibrant, historic town is a favourite with young and old alike. It’s a winner for loved up couples, families, groups of friends, girlie getaways, milestone celebrations, elopements and so much more.

What would a fun day in Berry and its surrounds look like to us?

Breakfast - Bangalay Dining for some delicious Kangaroo Valley eggs and lavish strips of free range bacon, or maybe French Toast with maple syrup and berries. Whichever, have a  Bangalay Mimosa to accompany it or a steaming hot brew. Then take a slow walk on the beach before heading back to Berry, which is just a short drive through some of the south coast's most picturesque landscapes.

Lunch - Flavours Shoalhaven is open 7 days a week from 9am - 4pm and it’s where you’ll find everything you need to create a gourmet picnic back at your luxury Linnaeus Collection accom. Flavours is all about seasonal, local, and free from as many chemicals, preservatives and additives as possible. Yes please.

Dinner - Queen St Eatery has the chilled, relaxed vibe of a wine bar and more than a touch of French Bistro as well. It serves up classic bistro dishes with a fresh spin and a great mix of Australian and French wines.

And in between? Milkwood Bakery - for mouthwatering cakes, pastries and savoury bites as well as coffee, tea and hot chocolate. (PS Berry has lots of fab places to grab a coffee to takeaway or sit and watch the passing parade.)

Treat Factory - On site they manufacture chocolates, confectionary, and over 200 varieties of conserves, pickles, chutneys, and more using recipes handed down over four generations. Fudge and brittles, rocky road, coconut ice, decadent Belgian chocolates and fresh nougat sit alongside savoury delights including artisanal cheeses, pasta sauce, dressings, chutney and mustards. You’ll also find local honeys, rare and unusual spices, and huge range of gourmet ingredients. Oh and you can have milkshakes, ice-cream, and sundaes which are also made on the premises.

They’re hand painted, made in Italy and reminiscent of the Mediterranean’s sun-filled terraces, seaside trattorias and tavernas, where entertaining is done with delicious food, wine, friends and family and a side of crisp linen.
